Passport

Citizenship · eventually

Membership that grows into citizenship. The passport is the document you claim on the way in — a record of what you make and how you carry yourself, not where you were born.

Membership that grows up.

A subscription is rented belonging: pay, enter, lapse, forget. Citizenship is owned. In time, being part of Sunbeam should feel less like paying for access and more like belonging to a place — a place where people know your name wherever we’ve put down roots, and where there’s a document to match. We’re saying it out loud now so you can hold us to it.

Two ways to belong

Resident or non-resident.

One passport, two kinds of citizen. Both real, both stamped, both welcome at the door.

Resident

Your life runs through a Space.

You live or work where a hub is — part of its daily fabric. The desks, the dinners, the people who notice when you don’t show up.

Non-resident

You belong from wherever you are.

Remote, roaming, or between cities — your membership travels with you, and the doors still know you when you land.

The economics

Giving, the way taxes should work.

Proportionate, honest, and worth it. You give in the form that’s true to your means — and residency shapes what’s fair. Residents lean on the place more, so they give more; non-residents give lighter, but they give. Nobody audits. The honor system scales because the people were chosen well.

It’s the same principle ✹Community runs on today — each to their means.

The record

What it stamps.

Beams earned, cities lived, disciplines learned, work shipped. Every page a record of things that actually happened.

Beams

Recognition earned.

Granted, never bought — the credential thread that runs through everything.

Stays

Cities lived.

The Spaces you’ve called home, city by city.

Tracks

Disciplines learned.

The things you went deep on in School.

Things shipped

Work finished.

The work — finished and real.

A disclaimer, stamped

Not that kind of passport.

Countries issue travel documents. We’re some kids with some ideas. This one crosses no borders and impresses no customs officers — it just means something to the people on the other side of ours.

Ed25519-signed tokens, published keys, MRZ check digits. Any service can verify a passport with one cached key — no account with us required. Try it →

The way in

By invitation only.

  1. Your passport is issued.

One desk action creates or finds your Sunbeam identity and issues its passport.

  2. Your email link arrives.

Open the sign-in link. There is no separate sign-up or claim step.

  3. Your passport opens.

The document is already waiting for your identity, ready to carry the record of what you make.

The passport exists from day one. Its meaning grows over time.

Ask away

Fair questions.

Is this a real passport?

No. Countries make those. Ours just tells our people what you’ve made and how you carry yourself — which, around here, opens more doors.

How do I get one?

By invitation. Your passport is issued directly to your Sunbeam identity, and the email link takes you to it.

Can anyone verify one?

Yes. Its signed token, published key, MRZ check digits, and public status can be checked without an account with us.

Does verification need to be online?

No. A service can cache the public key and verify the signed passport token offline. Going online adds the latest revocation status and public ledger.

The way in

It starts with belonging.
